Residents and Citizens of Bahrain:

On our Visa Appointment Wait Times page, please select “Manama” under U.S. Embassy or Consulate.

Out of District Nonresidents:

Appointments for nonresidents of Bahrain are available in all nonimmigrant visa categories.  However, nonresident applicants can expect longer wait times in all visa categories.  Current estimated wait times for out of district, nonresident applicants:

  • Visitor Visa (B1/B2): greater than 28 days
  • Student/Exchange Visitor Visas (F, M, J): greater than 4 days
  • All Other Nonimmigrant Visas (H, L, O, P, Q): greater than 14 days

Out of district residents who do not speak English or Arabic are required to bring their own translator.  All issued visas are returned through Aramex and not picked up directly at the Embassy.  While average processing times are five business days from interview to pick up at Aramex, nonresident applicants should be prepared for processing delays and may need to adjust their travel accordingly.
