US Embassy Kicks Off its Virtual Summer Activities Series

The U.S. Embassy, Manama will kick off its virtual summer activities series with a 9-week basketball and life skills workshop conducted by the Bahrain National Team Coach Sam Vincent. The workshop, which will open on June 15 and conclude on August 13, will reach approximately 150 youth across Bahrain. In addition to the sports workshop, the embassy will also organize a virtual art exhibit hosted in cooperation with the Bahrain Arts Society. The virtual art exhibition will showcase art that is inspired by COVID-19 and art that was created during the pandemic by Bahraini artists. The exhibit will open online on June 24.
On June 30, the American jazz band, the Ari Roland Quartet, will deliver a pre-recorded jazz performance with Bahraini bass player Ahmed Al-Qassim on zoom. After the 30-minute performance is finished, we will open the floor for 30 minutes of questions and discussion.
