United States Contributes To The International Businesswomen’s Forum

At the Second International Businesswomen’s Forum and B2B Exhibition, which took place November 13-15, Political Economic Counselor Anne Bennett delivered remarks and introduced a video message by Nina Vaca, Chairman and CEO of the Pinnacle Group and Presidential Ambassador for Global Entrepreneurship. The Forum, organized by the Bahrain Businesswomen’s Society and themed, “Global Business Trends for Women in Engineering” attracted participants from the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Turkey, the United States, and Russia.

Also during the event, Arezo Yazd, deputy international counselor at the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Trade Law Development Program (CLDP), participated in the panel “Engineer to Entrepreneurship,” presenting the importance of intellectual property rights (IPR) for entrepreneurship and emphasizing how women entrepreneurs can utilize agreements such as nondisclosure and non-compete agreements to protect their company’s IPR.
