U.S. Department of Agriculture Attaché Alan Hallman participated in the Invest in Food Forum organized by the MENA Centre for Investment on January 24. Hallman spoke about the importance of implementing standards that ensure food safety while not being overly cumbersome for businesses to implement. He advocated the adoption of American standards approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Other forum attendees included local business leaders and government officials from Tamkeen, the Economic Development Board, and the Ministry of Works, Municipalities, and Urban Planning.
