Led by U.S. Embassy English Language Fellow, Daniel Hatfield, a two-day children’s program was held at the Bahrain National Library in English for three to ten year-olds from June 19 to June 20. The program had four parts: an introduction, a thematic discussion, a flag making activity, and a story appropriate to the age groups. The children took part in a conversation on the meaning behind flags and other important symbols of Bahrain and the United States. The program concluded with a reading from a book donated by the embassy to the library’s collection. Twelve children attended.
