On July 21, ten American sports and health professionals from the United States traveled to Bahrain to participate in Youth City 2030. The Promoting Healthy Living exchange program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Office of Citizen Exchanges through the Sports Diplomacy division. The goal of the exchange program is to explore programs and best practices in working with youth, to combat obesity and disease, through sports activities. During their one-week program in Bahrain, the ten sports and health professionals explored new tools and trends in health and sports and conducted workshops and trainings with both youth and adult participants.
