The Scott Nathan, the U.S. State Department’s Special Representative for Commercial and Business Affairs, visited Bahrain on November 11.  On the eve of the Tenth Anniversary of the Bahrain-U.S. Free Trade Agreement (FTA), Mr. Nathan visited two companies that have taken advantage of the FTA through selling and producing products in the American market – Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) and BFG International.  He also met with government officials at the Bahraini Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the Bahraini Ministry of Works, Municipalities, and Urban Planning.   Mr. Nathan’s visit concluded with a discussion about how Bahraini businesspeople can leverage the Free Trade Agreement to build their businesses in the American market sponsored by the American Chamber of Commerce.
