Regional English Language Officer Conducts Workshop

On October 26, the U.S. Embassy’s Regional English Language Office partnered with the Isa Cultural Center to offer a workshop on “Collaborative Story Writing.”  The regional English language officer, Mr. Scott Chiverton, demonstrated activities from the U.S. Department of State publication, “Create to Communicate,” a teaching resource book that shows teachers how to use art activities for learning English.   During the workshop, the participants explored the technique of collaborative story writing using a comic strip template.  The workshop provided more than seventy teachers with a creative technique to tackle the skills of story writing and focused on the value of using collaborative activities to maximize student engagement in class.
