The U.S. Embassy in Manama organized a second PC -building workshop for Ras Ruman Community Center. Approximately, 10 youth between the ages of 18 and 45 years attended the three-day workshop. The workshop introduced students to various computer components and PCmodels. As part of this workshop, students learned how to build a state-of-the art PC from scratch with the help of professional technicians. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Ahmed Khamdan, President/CEO of ADVANTI Advanced Technologies International. Dr. Majed Al Majed, manager of the center, attended the workshops to oversee the implementation of the various sessions. This program offered participants an opportunity to build tangible work skills in this new sophisticated and technology driven job market.
