English Language Specialist, Dr Donna Brinton, conducted a series of workshops that targeted English Language teachers, teacher trainees, and students. During the workshops, participants explored techniques for maximizing the use of English in class, motivating learners, encouraging participation in speaking activities and bringing text books alive. Dr. Brinton focused on simple and practical activities that enable teachers to cater for all learners’ needs. Around two hundred teachers attended the workshops at the Ministry of Education, Bahrain Teachers College, and the Isa Cultural Center. During her visit Dr. Brinton also presented to over fifty English Access Program students at the Modern Institute and Integrity Learning Center.
