
On October 7th, Sixty-two young Bahraini students graduated from the English Access Microscholarship Program hosted by the American Cultural and Educational Center in a ceremony at the Bahrain Society of Engineers Hall in Juffair. U.S. Ambassador to Bahrain, Mr. William V. Roebuck, honored the students who successfully completed a two-year program of rigorous study of English and American culture. Sponsored by the U.S. Embassy in Bahrain, the Access Program provides scholarships to talented and deserving youth who attend after-school classes and intensive sessions. The program gives participants the English skills which may lead to better jobs and educational prospects. Since its inception in 2004, over 1,000 Bahraini youth have completed the program.
