Bahrain Student Leaders Represent Bahrain in the United States

On December 19, Deputy Public Affairs Officer Joslyn Mack-Wilson and Cultural Assistant Janan Shaikh Abdulla met with recently returned students from the Embassy’s Student Leaders program.  Student Leader Alumni Adil Bakhsh and Abdulaziz Alsaibiey welcomed the new 2017 class of Student Leaders:  Hayat Hasan, Maram Seroor, Mohamed Al Qassab, Noof Al Murbati, Noor Yusuf, Zahra Shaikh, and Zainab Almuabbad.

Each student completed six to eight weeks of intensive leadership training in the United States.  During the program, the participants developed leadership and collective problem-solving skills and explored U.S. history and culture to expand their leadership skills and knowledge.  The program included hands-on leadership training workshops, academic sessions, site visits, community service projects, optional homestays, opportunities for interaction with Americans peers, and other cultural activities.
