On October 27, the Bahrain National Museum, Darseen Café, and the U.S. Embassy hosted an open discussion between American Chef Emily Luchetti and Bahraini Chef Bassam Alalawi. Museum Director Khalifa Ahmed Al-Khalifa and Public Affairs Officer Tom Tanner opened the event, each noting the strong collaboration between the U. S Embassy and the National Museum. Chef Bassam asked Chef Emily about her career, her inspirations, and her approach to desserts. Chef Emily shared her passions for desserts and noted the flavors of Bahrain that offered new inspiration for future recipes. Guests enjoyed samples of Chef Emily and Chef Bassam’s delicious creations and received copies of Chef Emily’s recipe for Chocolate Filo Triangles.
