The U.S. Embassy in Manama invites the public to participate in STEM Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) through the University of Pennsylvania and Coursera
The U.S. Embassy in Manama is happy to announce the first facilitated MOOC launch of English for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) through the University of Pennsylvania and Coursera. This course is designed for non-native English speakers who are interested in improving their English skills in the sciences. In this course, learners will explore some of the most innovative areas of scientific study, while expanding their vocabulary and the language skills needed to share scientific information within their communities. Participants must sign up by June 10th to be able to complete the course on time. After the start date of the first facilitated course, the MOOC is open for enrollment. Check out the course:

- Explore several interconnected STEM fields so that you can better communicate with professionals around the world.
First facilitated course: June 4, 2017

Session End: July 3, 2017
Second facilitated course: October 15, 2017
Registration for the facilitated MOOC begins May 14th and the class begins June 5th. All prospective learners can enroll in the course here.
