Ambassador Siberell Highlights American-Made Products at Lulu Hypermarket Juffair

On October 15, U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain Justin Siberell visited Lulu Hypermarket (Juffair Mall branch) to highlight American-made products in Bahrain as part of Discover America Week – a celebration that runs from October 14-24. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr. Juzer Rupawala, Director of the Lulu Group, and other Lulu Hypermarket staff. Ambassador Siberell reviewed a number of American-made products across the aisles of Lulu – electronics, household goods, canned goods and sauces, specialty cheeses, meats, fruits, and vegetables, among many others. Lulu Hypermarket’s Hot Food section also showcased popular American favorites such as specialty burgers, hot dogs, and apple pie.

Other well-known American brands took part in the event, such as Coca-Cola and the famous American motorcycle, Harley-Davidson. The American Mission Hospital also offered free health checks to visitors and the financial services company American Express was represented. Also present were some of the Board members of the American Chamber of Commerce in Bahrain (AmCham), an association that promotes business opportunities between the United States and Bahrain.
