On Thursday evening, November 19, U.S. Ambassador William Roebuck officially kicked off America Week at the Lulu Hypermarket in Hid. Ambassador Roebuck thanked the President of Lulu Bahrain, Mr. Juzer Rupawala, for organizing “this wonderful celebration of American culture, commerce, and cuisine,” and he pointed out that many of the products stocked by Lulu are American entrepreneurial success stories, which made it appropriate for America Week at Lulu to coincide with Global Entrepreneurship Week.
The ceremony ended with a delegation from the American Women’s Association reading American patriotic poetry and singing some traditional American songs.
